Integrated Project (IP- New Instrument)
Main
purpose: to support the objective-driven research needed
to generate the knowledge required to implement the priority
themes: the primary deliverable is new knowledge.
ii)
Network of Excellence (NoE- New Instrument)
Main
purpose: to address the fragmentation of European research:
the primary deliverable is the structuring and shaping of
the way research is carried out in Europe on a particular
topic in order to strengthen excellence in that topic
iii)
Article 169
Purpose:
to support research programmes undertaken jointly by several
Member States and Associated States
iv)
Specific Targeted Research Project (STREP)
Purpose:
to support research, technological development and demonstration
activities of a more limited scope and ambition than required
by the integrated projects: the primary deliverable is new
knowledge
v)
Coordination Action (CA)
Purpose:
to promote and support the networking and coordination of
research and innovation activities;

Specific Support Action (SSA)
Purpose:
to support the implementation of the Framework Programme
